RABBI TZVI & ESTHER FISCHER FAMILY FAREWELL BBQ

SUNDAY JUNE 13 2021 - 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

In 2005Rabbi Tzvi and Esther Fischer and their young family were happily living in Jerusalem. Then, they heard the call of the Portland community, and moved halfway around the world to share their love of Torah and Jewish life.

For the past 15 years, The Fischers have been an integral, beloved part of our community. They have reached out to each of us, connecting in so many ways. They have been there at times of celebration and at times of sorrow. Teaching us, answering our questions, and inspiring so many of us in our Jewish journeys.  Eruv, Mikvah, Camp SEED, Oregon Kosher, NCSY, Maayan Torah, Daf Yomi, Community Shabbatons, High Holidays, and beyond –  Rabbi and Esther Fischer have been  involved in every step our community has taken. So many of us, families and individuals, have been directly affected by them and their family.

Now, The Fischers are moving to Detroit, where they will continue to share their love of Torah. As we look to the promise of Portland’s Jewish future, we are grateful to Rabbi Tzvi and Esther Fischer for all they have done to help build a foundation for that promise.  Please join us on June 13 at the Rabbi and Esther Fischer Farewell BBQ as we express our gratitude and share sweet memories.
